Christine Deviyani
Yoga and Meditation Teacher
Christine has been a yoga teacher since 2010, guiding various styles of yoga in private and group classes, retreats, workshops, and teacher trainings internationally (USA, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc).
Her certifications include Yoga Alliance (E-RYT 500; YACEP) and she is a Yoga of Recovery® counsellor. She is also an ayurveda body therapist and ayurvedic practitioner recognised by NAMA (National Ayurveda Medical Association (USA)) and integrates ayurvedic wisdom to enhance the benefits of yoga towards recovery.
Tailoring her classes according to age and current mental and physical health needs, sessions combine meditation, movement, breathing exercises and yoga nidra (deep conscious relaxation) and the 4 Paths of yoga (bhakti, raja, karma, jnana) as a system of healing. This enables individuals to gain clarity and deepen their understanding of their patterns of thinking and behaviour on the yoga mat and how they play out in day-to-day situations. Regular sessions enable individuals to re-balance their inner strength and peace of mind.
Christine has a degree in Christian-Buddhist studies and has practiced meditation and mindfulness since she was a teenager. She lived in an ashram in California (5 years), studying and engaging in all aspects of yoga in monastic life for her own healing journey.
Her mission is to empower people to take charge of their own health by sharing the holistic wisdom of yoga and ayurveda healing as a lifestyle and journey guided by the laws and rhythms of nature. “It is a continual ‘homecoming’ back to my True Self where the body and mind can be at peace.”
