Elissar Souweid
BIO-R® Nutritionist & Research Specialist
Elissar Souweid is the BIO-R® nutritionist & research specialist. She liaises with our team of BIO-R® chefs and supervises the selection of nutritious, healthy ingredients and food combinations in keeping with an individualised, client centred dietary approach that she will discuss with each client during her consultations.
Further, she is supporting the team by constantly staying abreast of the latest research and resulting recommendations ensuring that BIO-R® is always cutting-edge, relevant and innovative.
Elissar has a background in nutrition and food sciences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a master’s degree in food nutrition and health from Bern University of applied sciences (BFH). Elissar is a recognised dietitian in Switzerland; member of the Swiss associations of dietitian's (SVDE/ASDD) and the Swiss Association of Academic Nutritionists (SWAN). She is the Co-Founder of a vegan food enterprise.
Elissar combines an expertise in both, the clinical nutrition, and the food innovation field. She has worked in hospitals, clinics, the food industry as well as luxury wellness centres. In the past two years, she has been focusing mainly on the role nutrition plays in disease prevention and longevity.
Elissar strongly believes that nutrition has a significant impact on our physical, cognitive, and mental health and that the correct nutrition can augment our well-being on all three axes. Her passion for innovation inspired her to join the Kusnacht Practice. Her goal is to ensure our clients receive highly personalised nutritional guidance and benefit from her continuous effort to research and integrate the latest technologies and findings in the life-science field.
She speaks English, French and Arabic on a native speaker level and intermediate German.
